As a photographer, of course I'm going to tell you that hiring me is a good idea.... its a no brainer! However I wanted to show you a little example why.
While I was on the beautiful Strensall Common in York taking some photographs the other day, I took a quick picture on my phone of my surroundings.
Camera Phones are pretty impressive these days.
It's not a bad photograph but it doesn't compare to a real camera photograph. How many times have you photographed something on your phone that in real life seem so close and yet on your phone it appears to be so far away? The colours, the quality, the ability to edit the sharpness are all reduced with a phone.
Here is the same view taken with my camera.
With my camera I was able to zoom in, focus on the view I wanted, adjust the colour, light and sharpness. These qualities means that I am able to create beautiful images that focus on the subject without any of the background distractions.... not to mention how much better the print quality will be when your printing large images!
Keep taking those snaps on your phone.
I will be! Our phones are light, convenient and more than good enough for getting those funny faces covered in ice cream or those fleeting moments where the kids actually look as though they like each other. Just remember that a good photographer is truly worth it for those special timeless moments that will go on your wall for years to come.
